Well, Clear Channel Communications, whch dumped Howard Stern for lewdness, has done the same to San Francisco's Doghouse, a show that borrowed from Stern, Mancow, and anyone else it could.
The morning team had dropped to No. 10 in the ratings and, as you can see in the previous posts, had a run in with some community people last week.

PS: I keep a poster over my desk from the Doghouse, when they took an ad out in the Mercury News giving me the finger. Thanks guys. Even that they stole from a Denver radio station.

Haha, don't fuck with drum corps.
I don't like to see anyone lose their job, but a position with a zoo-radio morning show simply can not serve as a free license to sexually harass, degrade and humiliate people, both on and off the air.
This afternoon, Clear Channel and KYLD Program Director Dennis Martinez took positive steps towards the resolution of this situation.
However, to date, the women involved and the San Francisco Renegades organization have not yet received an apology.

I knew your name sounded familiar...obviously you didn't hesitate to show your media bias in your article given you didn't like the Dog House to begin with. I think I still have a copy of that add where they gave you the finger when you folded it like a mad magazine. Anyhow I think getting rid of the Dog House was the biggest mistake Clear Channel has made in the Bay Area. That show was hilarious, and the comments and remarks made were to be expected by anyone who enjoys the show. The guests that felt picked on really need to reevaluate what shows they go on as the Dog House jokes and harrasses most guests in an entertaining way for the listening audience to get a laugh. Its like many people have said in the past, if you don't like what is being said, don't listen...People did not need to complain, all they needed to do was turn the show off. I have a strong feeling that the ratings for this show started dropping due to the spiritualism and religious talk being brought into the show. Even I, an extremely loyal listener at first didn't want to listen to the spiritual experiances, but after time I actually started to like hearing about certain meditation revelations. I am not big on religion, but I know many people are, and when the Dog House started talking about how religion is a joke, I'm sure many people got offened which killed the ratings. I'm sure this show will be back on the air somewhere, and when it is, I will be right their listening again. As far as I am concened, Wild 94.9 is dead to me, and I'm sure many other people feel the same. The only reason I was loyal to that station was because they had the Dog House. I'm glad I am out of the Bay Area and have many other music choices to pay patronage to.
I think Brad Kava is just getting old and out of touch with the world around him in the bay area. Dropped to #10 in what market? the bayarea or nation wide. Dog House has fans forever no matter where they go they will have a huge fan base since they spread happyness and shared many things thru the air waves. I bet a lonely newspaper writer would love attention like this because he gets to bring himself up and write about it which proboboly doesnt happen often for him.

I'm not offended by the Doghouse's ad..I have it over my desk...I was offended that even that wasn't an original idea. They stole it from a radio station in Denver, which did the same thing to someone else three weeks earlier.
Like most of the stuff on the Doghouse, it was stolen or just plain bad taste.

Hey Brad, please stop with the lame wisecracks. Which by the way have been said before. So whose the rip off? And don't compare them to that idiot Howard Stern. You don't even listen so how can you say anything about them. All Stern does is try to get girls naked and talk about their boobs. The doghouse does insane stunts, prank calls, capping, original radio characters, and so much more. EVERY radio show has something in common with another show. So is every radio show a ripoff that steals ideas. What makes the doghouse unique is that at the same time they can be real too. They can talk about the radio station management on the air and they express their opinions on controversial issues that people like you are afraid to even bring up. Just admit you hate the doghouse and are envious of their success. And, I might ask, where are you getting your information about the doghouse ratings? It is clearly an adult-oriented show. Obviously it would have a low rating with children.
Hey Chrome Dome! (aka Brad) Funny you should mention the Hot Dog House. You must LOVE things shaped like that! As far as the fries go, we can see that you always SUPERSIZE your meals. Not a fan of Kava, sorry dude but I think you're outta' touch. But even less of a fan of the doghouse these past 2 years. They used to be awesome, but lately it's all about JV thinking he's the new messiah and all the guys bashing on Bush. If they want to rip the gov't in new ways each day, that might be entertaining radio, but the same old gripe every damn day gets old.
Oh yeah, to the idiot that said, "Dropped to #10 in what market? the bayarea or nation wide," the Doghouse isn't nationally broadcast you dope. #10 in the 4th largest market doesn't exactly make you "one of the best morning shows in the nation", as Hollywood proclaims on jvsworld. It's not a bad spot to be in if you're on your way up, but they're descending not ascending and it's time for Clear Channel to cut their losses.
Just like Opie & Anthony in New York when they pulled the "Sex For Sam" stunt. If they had better ratings they probably could've weathered the storm but, neither the Doghouse nor O&A were pulling good enough ratings to justify the complaints they got for their respective stunts and the networks said "see ya".
The Doghouse will be back when they learn to habla Español since by the time they cut another contract there will only be Spanish-format statinos left.
Where are you getting your information about ratings Mr. Kava and the fag who just posted? The Arbitron report released on April 27th had doghouse as the No. 1 morning show in the bay area. This jackass (kava) obviously hates the doghouse and most likely dug up ratings that are obviously not the most recent to come out. Either way, if any of you look it up you'll see that despite being suspended by management numberous time, the Doghouse has had no problem maintaing its dominance of this market. That's why whatever new deal they cut will have them syndicated nationwide, and soon enough they'll be No. 1 in almost all markets.

TO ALL THE DOGHOUSE HATERS: IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, THEN TURN THE SH*T OFF!!! The doghouse was truly my MOST favorite morning show by far!!! I am so disappointed in people to be so anal and uptight that they feel compelled to take time out of their day to ruin it for so many other people. The Doghouse was the ONLY ONLY ONLY thing that made getting up in the morning so bearable. I loved the prank calls and all the morning guests, as well as the crazy insane stunts they made their interns do.
So what if you didn't like them Kava, shove it! So what if they were rude and crude, it was known and obvious! And so what if they called those nerds Dorks, because every kid that played music in school was a DORK. Drumcore does rock, but it's just a matter of dorks rocking out well together. hey Brad, can you even say one sentence without inserting some (un)witty remark? And don't try to pretend you ever liked the doghouse. You've hated them from day one and you've never even given them any credit when it is due. They've done a lot more for the bay area than your little radio column. This might seem impossible, but I think your columns are getting even worse. That would explain why you were removed from the paper.
